How a Body Sounds
The stones of the town resonate at the sound of a hollow hand. The Unmake is near, the fissures dilate. Quick, new chants are needed.

Thank you so much for your video! It was amazing to see such a passionate and engaged playthrough. The lore is supposed to be very open ended and many interpretations are valid. The whole game is born from our own exploration on a real place and all the strange findings throughout it have inspired the lore and story. Can you find where the place is? ;) Thanks again for streaming our game, it really means a lot to us!
Hey! It's a pleasure, you really had me engaged enough for me to go for every ending, so kudos to you! And I love hearing about the fact this was inspired by a real life place... This makes me wonder if the shots of the whole city at the very beginning/end, the ones in the forest or other things are real images of said place you guys pixelated? But yeah I think the sheer weirdness of it all and the open-to-interpretation side of the lore is an amazing quality. But yeah I'd be glad to play any of you guys' games in the future! Thanks a lot for putting the time and effort to make this game!
👀
:O
Mark my words, this game will end up in someone's video essay someday down the line. Wonderful presentation of story, audio, and thematics within such a low-fidelity environment. A great example of "show, don't tell." The deafening silence of the overworld juxtaposed with the occasional blips from the echoes and then the melodious tunes of the bodies makes for a wonderfully eerie experience that really values the space that the player inhabits and the atmosphere that envelopes it. Really great job.
thank you so much for the kind words! It really means a lot
omg this is purely beautiful!! have to say all these fit into Gameboy style so well, i love how the human body and sound are related, after all our bodies are all playable musical instruments aren't we
oh, and would there be a walkthrough? was only able to find one ending tho..
Thank you so much for the kind words! Regarding the ending: when you are brought back to the chapel after one of the ending just keep playing as normal, you will reach another ending automatically
thanks, i got 3 endings finally~
(spoilers)
just curious what exactly triggers the "seal" and "attunement" endings respectively?
Great to hear! Every ending depends on the choices you made on which echoes you spent fingers on, so the order of the endings varies, which order did you get? :)
i got the "seal" ending a couple of times, where i was only able to use about 5 hands before having to head to the ending sequences. Then i did another new playthrough, where i tried to see some different echoes (but still select them quite randomly) and was able to use 7-8? hands, eventually the game led me to a different ending. Guess i sort of got that 2nd ending by chance?
great game, beautiful visuals and sounds. just confused on the ending where i need to pick up the body(saint), thats the only thing stopping me from finishing the playthrough.
Thank you so much! Where did you get stuck? you have to bring the saint back to the forest and keep walking further inside
I think I may have encountered this same problem. After picking up the saint, I seem to only be able to walk in areas that are normally out of bounds (ie the wall and the organ pipes) and can't leave the area. Might be a bug?
ah okay, thank you so much
Wow… Now, THIS is my cup of tea, so to speak! Found you guys from @wf__games ’s Twitter-feed after checking it after a long time.
Tried the game using Mednafen and I think I used 3-4 hands.
Will definitely return for some more later!
thank you so much that's great! Let us know if you play again how it goes!
Posting it here too as I cannot understand where the reviews are supposed to appear :D
Unique and fascinating take on cosmic horror but applied to the Gameboy adventures aesthetic. Intuitive and well-explained game mechanics.
Spent roughly an hour and a half to reach the 3rd ending, taking my time to look a the beautiful details of the town.
Played it on Windows by opening the GBC file with the SameBoy emulator. No glitches encountered in my run.
Great work (☆☆☆☆☆)!
OK, I've played the game and legit got stuck after de second ending.
1: church
2: behind old chapel
This is a great game btw.
edit: I got all 3 endings.
Thank you so much for playing all the way through!! so no problem with the last ending?
