Babau
Babau is a Gameboy game developed for the 2023 GameBoy Competition Jam, themed "You are the monster".
You impersonate an incubus - a demon of dreams, a bringer of night terrors - chasing a dreamer down the nightmare realm to eat his soul. Hunt the dreamer across multiple oneiric sceneries preventing him to wake up and escape you. Till the next night.
Babau is a work in progress. Further polishing and beta testing are still being conducted. We highly value any feedback and comment to improve the game experience!

Wow, that's a really creative concept 😮 I only really wished that I could move diagonally. I never managed to catch any dreamers 😅
Thank you! The game is still a work in progress, and we really value every feedback to improve what we know is a gameplay mechanic that must be really fine-tuned to be challenging but fair and fun! We'll try to see what happens by adding diagonal walking! Thank you again also for the kind words!
